After rescheduling my wisdom teeth extraction
twice, we decided to wait again. I actually went in and sat there for a good long while, waiting to talk to the doctor to see if it could wait. The nurses were supposed to be hooking me up to stuff to knock me out while the doc was eating breakfast. So after he finished breakfast, he came in and said I can wait unless my teeth really start to hurt. Our dental insurance is good - we get $2,000 a year and then some stuff is covered beyond that. But this year it was pro-rated, which means it was really low. So in January we will have a bunch of insurance money. So anyway... I felt kinda bad to ditch out a third time, but so goes it.
I was glad to not have to deal with the milk thing. I got a can of formula so she could have one meal if she needed it before I could nurse again, but I think it would have been pretty bad.
After the appointment, Harp took me to breakfast at Spangles. I hadn't eaten anything because of the surgery, so I was starving. The woman that worked there gave Emily two stuffed toy bugs that vibrate when you pull a string. Emily thought it was pretty bizarre, but then decided it was sort of neat. I don't think they're very exciting yet, but maybe once she figures out she can pull the string, too, she'll like it.
I have become so totally dependent on caffeine. I really should take a nap when Em does but I have been busy making Christmas presents. It's only one cup a day usually, but I never used to drink coffee! Just on Sunday mornings at Crossroads. I suppose I've gotten old, lol, and joined the millions of caffeine-dependent Americans...
I am SO EXCITED about moving into our house! Only 4 more days until closing! And we have people from church that will help us move on Saturday. So, so thankful! We had Nate and Anna and their cell group leader, Laura, and Abu (from LeTU - he doesn't go to our church, but he's here working at Spirit Aerosystems) to help us move over here. I don't know what we'll do about the stuff here because everyone is on the west side and it will be easier having them help with the stuff in storage. I guess on Friday, we'll pack things up here and take some stuff down that night after closing.
Better go work on Christmas presents!! I'm cutting it close!
