4 Down, So Many To Go...
We have our first four boxes packed. I don't know what to pack now. Or how to pack. We don't have bubble wrap, but if we did have it, I'd probably over-wrap things and waste a lot of space. I am almost done with Zoey's quilt. I just have to do the binding. I have to put a zipper in a dress and hem it and understitch the top. I'm wearing it tomorrow to the symphony in Ft. Worth. They are playing music from Final Fantasy. I've never played the game, but the music is pretty cool and it will be even better with a full orchestra. We were going to see Bree and spend the night at her house, but their air conditioner broke and it's going to be pretty bad for my little girl. So, unless it gets fixed tomorrow, we're going to leave Emily with Hannah again. Hannah is so sweet to always watch Em. It's been twice in the past week already. And we've only watched Lorna once ever. Hannah, you and Clint need to go out! =) Okay, well, I should get started on box #5. =)

So Many Posts
I know, I'm blog happy. I'm sure I'll get over it eventually. =) The funny thing is, I haven't told many people about my blog. Harper, Sarah Jo, the Bourciers, and Harp's mom (who probably forgot about it because she didn't comment here or say anything on the phone)... =) It's like I'm writing to myself or something, but it's very entertaining. =)

See Hubby's Post
See Harp's post, 'Head Spinning.' I'm thinkin' the same thing... I love my hubby. =) He's the best. =)
My Big Girl & My Momma
Emily is trying to crawl! Yesterday she got into position and would take a couple of crawl-steps (whatever you call that) and then splat on the floor. She's doing the same thing today, but a little better. Pretty soon she's going to be all over the house. I need to vacuum more often!
And my mom turned 50 today! I still haven't actually gotten to talk to her. I've left 3 messages for her and she's left 2 for me.
Em is trying to eat the computer. She got all the way over here from about 3 feet away. This is just crazy. I don't know if I'm excited or not. I am because she's learning things and it's really incredibly cute. But now I have to make sure everything is picked up all the time and somewhat clean.
Em wants to type something.
\o
Okay, she pressed a lot of great buttons that you can't see, but at least you got something. =) She is being absolutely adorable, so I'm going to go get the camera and take another 15 pictures of her. If I'm not still doing this with my fourth kid, get on me about it. I want lots of pictures of all my kids. =)

Pink Laptop
I guess that quote needs a little 'splainin'. The bottom left corner of the screen is tinted pink. We're getting rid of this computer anyway 'cause Harp got a tablet for graduation. Anyone want a pink computer?
Funny Man
"She's like a superhero whose weapon is pretty." - Harp about Em ('pretty' being a noun)
"Hey, nice pink laptop you've got there. We could sell it as the Inspiron 7500 Mary Kay edition." - Harp
I love my husband. We never stop laughing. Well, sometimes for a little bit and then we say we're sorry and we end up laughing a bunch. He has the best sense of humor. I'm glad I married a funny guy. If you're single, marry a funny guy. If you're married, go make your honey laugh.

Swimmin' on the Porch
Em and I had a fun time swimming today. Hannah and Lorna came over and swam with us. It's funny how kids are so different from the beginning. You put a toy in front of Lorna and she reaches out to touch it, like "I'm interested in that. It would be nice to play with that." You put a toy in front of Emily and she practically pounces on it, like "Ooh, I want that toy!! Gimme that toy!!" I have no idea which one I was like when I was little.
My poor girl has ouchie teeth. She bit me a bunch of times today and I flicked her little cheek. She cried and cried like I really hurt her feelings. Sad, huh? It's too bad self-control doesn't come with the kid. And the knowledge that biting hurts... I'm going to go get my snuggle bucket. She can't sleep because she's extra super tired (which is because her owwie teeth kept her up).

Aaah (as in a happy sigh)
After Emmy woke up, we went to see Daddy. He came home with us for lunch (which we still haven't eaten) and we talked a while about the whole moving thing. Bruce's offer stands for the next 2 weeks. So, basically, we're planning on moving to Colorado still, unless within the next two weeks, God says "You need to stay there and work for Bruce." And, once two weeks pass... We're back where we were, moving to Colorado. I'm thinkin' that's what's going to happen, but I do see ourselves moving back to Longview someday. Funny, no? Better fill my growlin' tummy.
What to do
Last night, we went to the Crowes' to watch a movie. Harp and Bruce talked for a long time and Bruce offered Harper a job here. This makes everything really confusing for both of us. Harper stayed awake late last night just thinking and praying. I'm glad I'm not the one that has to make the final decision on this. Sometimes, it's like God just jumps out in front of you and tells you exactly what to do and you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's right. This isn't one of those times. This is a "trust me" time. I have to say, I much prefer the "this is what to do" times. I thought we were supposed to move to CO, even though I never felt like we weren't supposed to stay here. Up there, we pay no rent - just storage. But we pay for a big move. Here, we pay rent, but we would have a job. Granted, it pays less than half of what Harp can expect as an engineer in CO and it's not even in his field. But do we wait here for an engineering job? Then he'll have to travel to CO for interviews (assuming he has any). We found out last night that the Crowes actually moved here from another state because of Crossroads, because our church values the family. It's going to be hard to find another church like this. Do we stay here for the church even though the job isn't engineering? There pretty much aren't engineering jobs here. Now I don't know what we're supposed to do. I'm not stressed about it or worried about it. Just wondering what to look forward to. Pretty mountains and camping and no icky, humid summers... Or a great church and comfy winters and lots of friends... My baby-girl's up and having fun in her crib. I'm gonna go get her and have some fun, too. =)

Last Night, Teeth, and Today
We had a really fun date last night! Hannah said Em was good for her. I'm glad! We had yummy lobster and steak and teriyaki chicken and lots of other side stuff. Then we had a little time to go to Kroger and get candy and an energy drink and we went to see Star Wars. I'm not keen on the whole force thing and how everything's "spiritual," but it was pretty good. I have never seen 4, 5, and 6, so now I guess I can see them. I wanted to watch them in order.
Well, this morning, Em was chompin' away at my finger and it felt a little sharp! I peeked in and there are 2 little white teeth ready to pop out of her gums. They aren't actually out, but you can see them and feel them and they are so cute! I'm going to miss her gummy grin, but I'm sure she'll be gorgeous with teeth, too. =)
We got Em a kiddie pool yesterday and I just filled it up. Can't wait to take her in it! Guess that's about it. =)

3 Yummy Years
So, today is our third anniversary! Harp said it seems like forever that we've been rounding up to 3 years. He's right. I wonder if we will ever stop rounding up. Once 7 months have passed, it doesn't make sense to use the real number because you're much closer to your next anniversary. Maybe when we've been married 25 years, we won't care to round up. I think we will do it anyway.
I have been blessed to be married to an amazing man of God. He loves me like crazy and loves our baby girl so much. Most of all, he loves the Lord. I don't know how people stay married without Jesus. He is the only reason we can forgive and love each other. And He makes us better husbands and wives in the first place. I love Him. I love being married. =)
The 'yummy' part is that I struck gold (no, better than gold) with Harper - he can cook! Okay, it may sound corny and stereotypical that he made me pasta today, but he really can cook anything. He made my pasta gourmet-style with sausage and pepperoni and fresh-pressed garlic in the sauce. It was SO yummy!
Tonight we are going to Matsu for a Japanese dinner. We went to Benihana for our rehearsal dinner and to Shogun for our first anniversary. Last year, we felt like Japanese again, so we went to Matsu and started a real tradition.
We're leaving Em with Hannah tonight.. I hope she is sweet for her. She usually is, but we think we're going to go to a movie after dinner and have Hannah give Em a bottle. I don't know how that's going to go over with Emily. She gets really frustrated with bottles. Maybe a sippy cup will work...
Anyway...I love being hitched to Harp and I'm thankful for 3 great years together with my very best friend ever. I'm gonna go give him a smooch. =)

Dinosaur

Monday was our first day of baby swim lessons. Hannah and I were taking the girls together, but Emily wasn't old enough to go yet and they said she couldn't come back after two days. She can go back when the next session starts, in a couple of weeks. I don't think we're going to do it, though, because the fun part was doing it with Hannah and Lorna. Anyway, here's Em at the pool playing with a dinosaur.
Harp And Em On Father's Day
My "Plants"
Had I been trying to grow vegetables or flowers or anything desirable, I would call them weeds. Because I planted absolutely nothing in my garden this year, I call them plants. Just because I don't have to expend any energy to make them grow doesn't mean they're icky. And why expend energy removing perfectly good plants from my garden? I thought some of them were kinda pretty. They had gotten almost as tall as I am (which is about 5'4", I think) and I thought it would be fun to see if they would grow as high as the rain gutter. Call me weird. Harper went out and chopped them down the other day. We're about to move anyway, but it was a little disappointing that my goal of growing roof-high weeds would never be attained. Harp took a picture of me with two of my weeds. Here ya go... =)
Sarah Jo, Moving, and Life
I didn't think I was going to use this blog. I just thought it was neat because Harper showed me how to get one. I have been reading Sarah Jo's blog for probably an hour and it made me cry a bunch... She has stayed in touch with so many people and she is so real about everything and she doesn't care who reads about it. She's goofy but she's serious, too. Just about everything she writes is poetic and beautiful...I wish I could write like that. I love Sarah Jo like crazy and I wish she could live closer. I'm sure everyone that knows her wishes the same. Today Harper pretty much decided we are moving to Colorado. We have been praying about it for a long time and it looks like it's not God's plan for us to stay here. It is so hard to leave friends behind and a church that preaches the Word and spurs us on to loving the Lord and worshiping Him with our lives. How sad it is that it's hard to find a church like that. At the same time, I'm excited to move. I guess moving a lot growing up makes it easier. Harper is dreading packing; I can't wait. Everything is just so organized and neat when you unpack and put things away. It would take wrecking your whole house to get that organized after a couple of years (or extreme diligence in keeping things clean and where they go - I vote against that =). But this way, you have an excuse to wreck your whole house and nobody looks at you funny if you have boxes sitting around for a couple of months. Anyway, we still don't know exactly where we are going. We have peace about waiting, still, so we're just going to hang out here until we get kicked out (which is August 3rd). If God provides a job before then, we won't have to move twice. If we get kicked out... Then we go to CO and probably put most of our stuff in storage and live in Frisco at the condo for a while. And maybe with Harp's parents some, but we don't want to be a burden on them and we would probably get sick of it after a while anyway. The condo is up in the mountains 15 minutes away from Breckenridge and probably 10 minutes away from Copper Mountain. It's absolutely gorgeous up there. Maybe Jo can come visit. =) And everyone else too. I am going to miss Hannah so much. I know we would end up apart someday because it's not like Clint can really have a flight job here. But we wanted Em and Lorna to grow up together. It has been so fun taking them to the pool together and going for walks and letting them play together (or beside each other, more accurately) while we work out. Who is going to make me work out?! It is going to be strange not knowing anybody. But, you know, we were down in Houston for Kevin Scherm's wedding last week and we met a great couple down there and we exchanged email addresses and everything. Jeremy and Aubrey... They have been married 3 months and she is 8 weeks pregnant. We only knew them for like 2 days, but I know if we lived in Houston we would get really close. I think God led us to talk to them to remind us that He is going to take care of us and we will make connections and meet people that love Him wherever we go. Aww, my sweet little girl just woke up and she's cooing. She is SO CUTE!!! I better go get her and have a little smile-fest. =)
