Softy

Harp's mom got Em this lotion that's probably really expensive but really works. I have only put it on her 3 times in 3 weeks and her legs are SO soft! So, Jaime, if you want to try it it is Lipikar Baume from La Roche-Posay. It's the stuff the aesthetician in Harper's dad's office sells. That's the only place I know to get it, but you can probably find it online. =) It says it is 20% shea butter, so maybe that's what's working? I don't know, but she's not rough and bumpy anymore!

Big Boss, Drops

Last week, Em was having a hard time picking up her toys. She had had a really bad attitude about it (telling me to do it) and I told her she had to do it all by herself. She started picking them up and asked why I wouldn't help and I told her because she had a bad attitude about it and I thought she should do it all now and I can make that decision because I'm the boss. She gave me this puzzled look and said "No... Daddy's the boss." Hehe! I told her she's right that Daddy is the boss, but when he's not here I'm the boss and we still always do what Daddy would want because he's the boss of Momma, too. So she picked up her toys...

Yesterday, I don't remember what Em and I were talking about but she asked why about something and I said "'Cause Daddy's the big boss." She said "Oh, Daddy's the big boss?" I said "Yep!" She thought about it and said "Oh! You're the little boss?" Hehe! I said "Yep, I'm the little boss, Daddy's the big boss, and God is the big, big, big, big, big boss." She was glad to know, lol.

Last week I let Em put the dechlorination drops in the fish bowl after I changed the water. A couple days later, she said "Oh, Mr. Fish! He's eatin' some nice drops!" in an oh, how cute voice.

Crazy Girl

It has been quite a day. We ran errands all afternoon. How about I just blog about my Emmy-O?

Today we were at the scrapbooking store and they have a stroller to push the kiddos around... Well I sat at the back to nurse Lainey and Em was sitting in the stroller and she peed. Uh huh. Peed. She didn't say anything. So I said "Um, Emmy, do you have something to tell me?" "No." "Are ya sure?" She gave me this funny, confused look and said "I didn't peepee in the stroller, Momma." LOL She was very surprised when I moved the stroller and there was a puddle underneath her.

Oh that reminds me because of a story about Lauren Bourcier (the lipstick she didn't get into that was all over her face) about a story about Gracie (her bun falling out so she couldn't sleep), which reminds me to blog about Em getting out of bed. Recent excuses have been pretty funny. Like "My fingernails are long." And "I have ear wax."

Today it rained big-time and we got soaked coming in the house. Harp got Em undressed and then she was naked while we ate dinner. I went into the living room and she took the mustard and started trying to squirt it on her belly and then on her nipples. I said "Why are you trying to put mustard on your nipples?" She said "'Cause they're not soft anymore." What??? lol

Well I don't remember what else to blog and I want to scrapbook a little while I have the chance. Later!

JW Meeting 1 Details

It went well! They left with a list of things they needed to look into. It was absolutely invaluable to have a Greek Bible and to know enough to know if their translation of some verses was totally not right. They looked at what version of the Greek Bible I had and actually went silent about it. They didn't actually SAY they agreed that it was legit, but I'm pretty sure they thought so and didn't want to look wrong about their translation.

Would have been awesome to have the Hebrew and know some Hebrew, too. Harp pointed out that we have it on the computer. Too bad I didn't remember that. In Zechariah where Yahweh says that "they will piece Me" their version says will pierce the one I am sending or something like that. Their version definitely doesn't say they'll pierce Jehovah, but Jesus. Ours definitely says Jehovah will be pierced. Anyway there were quite a few issues like that where all we could do was agree that one of the translations is wrong but we really couldn't make any point to each other because we each believe ours is right! So I guess a step in the near future is to talk about the NWT.

I did get them to contradict themselves. I don't remember what the first time was, but I remember thinking "Yeah!!" The second time, they were really stuck. I pointed out that when Thomas saw Jesus, he said "My Lord and my God!" They said he was calling him a god, not Jehovah. I said in the Greek, there is an article for God (mini Greek lesson: they don't have a word for 'a' - that is assumed, unless they use an article, what we'd always translate 'the'). So to translate literally from the Greek, it says "The Lord of me and the God of me!" I said if Jesus was really just a god (a person with power - they point out that Satan is the god of this world, the god of mammon, etc) and he was good, why didn't he rebuke Thomas? Shouldn't he have said "No, I'm just A god, a lesser god. The only one worthy of being called 'the God of me' is Jehovah." She said "Well, he should have!" I said "But he who knows what he should do and does not do it sins." And then it occurred to me that maybe they don't believe Jesus actually lived a sinless life. So I said "OH! Do you believe that Jesus didn't live a sinless life?" And she snapped to it, saying "Yes, we believe Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life." And I pointed out that she just said he didn't do something he should have done, yet didn't sin. And she didn't know what to say. Conveniently, they were having to go to get somewhere else. But I wanted to get one other thing in so I changed the subject to Revelation.

They don't believe Jesus existed forever with God. They believe he was created (citing that he was the firstborn of all creation, which is really about inheritance) and that he was the Archangel Michael before he came to earth. I didn't get on them about the Michael the Archangel thing, but I'm sure we'll head that way soon... =) I tried to stick only to talking about the trinity so they would think about it long enough to maybe see where they are wrong. We talked for nearly two hours, btw.

So in Rev 1:7 it says that Jesus (the one who was pierced) is coming and then in v 8 Jehovah says he (himself) is the One (this is NWT even) who was and is and is coming. I asked then if they believe Jesus is coming and Jehovah is coming based on those two verses. And then asked why Jehovah would say he is "the One" who is coming, if really two are coming. They said well if two people are going to the store together, one can still say they are the one going to the store. I said I wouldn't say that if I was going with someone else and there is no purpose for Jehovah to say "the One" unless he means "the One." Why did he emphasize it? We just disagreed there in the end.

Then in Rev 22, Jehovah says he is coming quickly. Later in 22, when it says I am coming quickly, the response is "Amen! Come, Lord Jesus." I said that Jehovah just said he's coming quickly and the response is acknowledging that he's Jesus. They said well no that then it was actually Jesus speaking and they had hand-written in their Bible "Jesus says, Jehovah says, Jesus says" throughout chapter 22. I pointed out that even in their translation, the translators put the quotations around the whole thing, that it is all one person speaking. They had to go. =P

So anyway there were some other things in the Greek that they wanted to look up because they don't trust my Greek Bible. Which is fine. I don't think they have some corrupted Greek text, just translators with an agenda to corrupt the translation. Not sure about that, but I think all they will find is that I'm right.

I pointed out that being baptized in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit was a strong argument FOR the trinity, although they use it as evidence against it - that they are listed separately, like Tom, Dick, and Harry. I told them in the Greek, name is singular. There is one name of these three distinct personalities. It is indicating plurality within unity. They said name means authority, not a name like Joe. Like stop in the name of the law. Well yeah! And they all have the same singular authority. What they said to argue against me only strengthened my point, but I don't think they got it. I guess I should have stayed on that topic longer and pointed out that there is a plural that could have been used in the Greek and it wasn't used. Just because we don't commonly use a plural in English for authority doesn't mean it wasn't definitely singular the way they wrote it and understood it to be not plural.

There were some things they didn't make a lick of sense on, like how I pointed out that when the NT says theos (God) for Jesus they take it to mean a lesser god but when it says theos for the Father they take it to mean Jehovah. Then they told me how in Genesis, rulers of a land were called Adonai. Um, so? Adonai means mighty ones, if I remember right. What is wrong with that and what does it have to do with theos being taken two different ways? Grr.

I also pointed out to them that nowhere in the Bible does it say "the Father is Jehovah." We only know he is because he's called God and mighty God, etc. By the same virtue we can know Jesus is Jehovah (Yahweh) because he is called God and mighty God and everlasting, etc. I had a list. =)

Also had a long discussion about Jesus being "a God." They say in John 17:3, where it says "the one true God" it is clear that there is ONE true God (which is true, even to trinitarians, but they are taught falsely that trinitarians believe each the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is God (as in the completeness of God) yet they are one God). So I asked if there is one true God and Jesus is "a God" (as they translate John 1:1) then is Jesus a true God or a false God? They said God just means one with power and Jesus has power. And they brought up Satan being a god and money and stuff and I said well those are all false Gods. And they said yes, they are! And I said right, so is Jesus a false God or a true God? And I actually don't remember now where the conversation went from there, but they never did answer the question. That must have been the first time when I thought "Yeah!" but then forgot how they contradicted themselves. That's not an outright contradiction but I know they were stuck and couldn't say he was a true God because they'd contradict John 17:3 unless they admitted Jesus is Yahweh. And if they said he was a false god, then John 1 is wrong in speaking so positively about him (and the rest of the Bible for that matter).

Wow this is a long email. Maybe I'll put it on my blog. =P Their names are Deena (don't know she spells it but that's how you say it) and Nina (pronounced the old-fashioned way, nine-uh). I really like them and we had a very friendly conversation even though we disagreed entirely. I ran into Deena at Walmart a couple hours later and we chatted a little, but not about the Scriptures. Anyway they are coming over next week at the same time and I'm excited!

Emily-girl is asleep on the futon! She must have been tired. I guess I'll go take a shower or something. =P She was such a good girl to sit there for a long time watching the menu after the Esther VeggieTales finished. =P I wonder how long she was awake, hehe. =) Btw, I think it's so cute how Mordecai calls Esther Essie in the VT. I want to name a daughter Esther and call her Essie. =) But I think Harp would say nu uh! And you would probably all be happy and agree with him, lol.

JW Meeting 1

Went well. They left with a list of things they needed to look up and try to figure out. I got them to contradict themselves at least once (and I think twice, but I don't remember what the first one was, lol). They're coming back next week, same time. =) I'll try to blog more later. Might be tomorrow, though, because the girls' study is tonight.

Life In Abbotville

So what's up? Well today Em and I peeled and put lots more bananas on sticks. Mmm! =) We'll dip them in chocolate tomorrow. We would have today, but Em slept from 1 until 4:30! Yeah, small group kept her up until 10:20 last night.

We took a walk to Walmart this morning because the weather was perfect. Not pretty, but it felt perfect.

I spent a couple hours reading about what Jehovah's Witnesses believe and why they say the trinity is a false doctrine. I'm even more excited to talk to them Wednesday.

Last night during small group CK got a call that her uncle died in a motorcycle accident. After study during the normal prayer time I just knew (one of those God things) that I had to find CK and pray alone with her instead. So I got her from outside and we went to her room and had a really great time of prayer and talking afterward. I just love CK.

Today we went to the bookstore and got two new Veggies, Esther and the new Moe one about Moses. =) And two VeggieTales CD's. We were as excited as Emily. =) We watched Esther when we came home.

Our TV is trying to poop out on us and Harp found a really really good projector for a really really good price, so we ordered it. We have to come up with some sort of screen or surface to project on. But it's front or rear projection and can project from the floor or ceiling (inverted) so we'll figure something out. I can't wait to get it! It also means we can take it upstairs and have lots of room to work out with my kickboxing video. =) I NEED to work out. Hey maybe I'll do it right now.

The basement is actually 90% clean. The stuff that needs to be done now is getting pics on walls (many of them just lying around) and books on bookshelves (which we need more of). And the desk cleaned off some more. Maybe cute baskets for the cubby holes in the desk so it doesn't look so nasty? Okay I am suddenly motivated to work out. Blog ya later!

Emilyisms

Emily likes to say how nice people are. Like I'll say "Did you know Grandma bought you that?" and she'll say "Oh, how nice of Grandma to buy that for Emmy!" About all sorts of people & things. =)

She is always asking what people are talking about. We have this CD with Bible stories and Bible songs and she's always saying "What's she talkin' 'bout, Momma?"

We watched a new Veggie tonight (new to us - Esther) and she kept asking "What's going to happen?" and when Esther was singing she asked "What's she sayin'?" =)

Emily keeps asking "What happened?" or "How did it happen?" Kind of like the "Why?" stage, I suppose. Like after I dropped the chocolate on the floor, she asked "What happened?" I told her I dropped the bowl and it broke and she asked "How did it happen?" so I told her I was clumsy and dropped it and it shattered when it hit the ground. And she asked "How did it happen?" I told her the bowl was glass and it was fragile and the ground was hard so when gravity pulled it down it wasn't strong enough to stay together when it hit the floor. She kept asking, but I was done. =) "Because God made things that way." =)

Last night at small group, Emily made Asa (a boy in our fellowship, maybe 10-12 years old) blush... She was changing a baby doll's clothes and pointed to the bottom and said "Poop comes out here?" Like I know this but I'm making sure it's the same for everyone or something! Hahaha! I cracked up when Nellie told me.

3.24.2007

Oh, And...

I forgot to mention: I know why LJ has diaper rash. =( It's the antibiotics. She got bad rash when she was on them in the hospital, too. It's getting blistery and she screams when I change her diaper. I used browned flour to clear it up after the hospital visit, so I'll do that again, but for now I'm trying to protect her tooshie with cream because she just leaks poo all day and I can't possibly keep her bottom clean. She does 3 little squirts between a wiping and getting the next diaper on. =( I can't wait to be done with this stuff!! She started Monday night and it supposed to take it for 10 days. Dreadful!

Events

Today we went to the playground.

Today I dropped a glass bowl full of freshly melted chocolate onto the floor in the kitchen, right by the area where I keep my mop and brooms between the counter and fridge.... =P It shattered. Cut myself cleaning it up. It's still not totally clean because I needed to let the chocolate harden before I could finish.

Lainey ate a dust bunny off of Emily's broom. Actually, I think Harp got it from her. =P Lainey ate some blueberries at Walmart (sample day) and liked them. Probably better than broom bunnies. =)

Haha, thinkin' about blogging about broom bunnies reminds me about something that happened in CO that I never blogged. Harp brought Lainey to me and put her down like she could walk! She, of course, fell right over, onto our open suitcase. She was not pleased. He felt soooo bad. But now I think it's really funny. I have almost put her down thinking she could walk away before!

Playground Pics

I have so much fun taking playground pics. =) Too bad it wasn't a prettier day, but it was a comfy day! =) I kept 99 pictures today. Hehehehe!

Springy Flowery Girls

Girbles

I love how Lainey plays with her hands. =)

My Day

Okay I don't know what to blog about anymore. Not like I ever had specific things that I blogged about, but oh well. =)

Em and I peeled bananas and stuck them with sticks this morning. They're in the freezer and when Em's up from her nap, we'll dip them in chocolate. We made a bunch of them. =)

I got fabric to make Em some jammies because she only has one pair of summer jammies (the Nemo ones I made her) and it's getting warmer at night.

Also have been working on Ashley's quilt. =)

Today Harp made brats for lunch and it was perfect timing because my Jehovah's Witnesses friends came by and I actually was able to talk to them for a while. Then they had to go somewhere so I invited them over Wednesday. I'm looking forward to that. They are fun to talk to and they aren't pushy or freakish. They just happen to believe weird lies. I'm looking forward to talking to them more Wednesday. =)

Harp found me a bunch of music from Final Fantasy to play for him on the piano. I really like it!! I have actually heard all of the songs, I think, because we went to the Ft Worth symphony a couple years ago and they played FF music. It still always makes me think about Chance and Ellen, but it's not a sad thing anymore. I used to cry whenever I heard that music (Harp bought the CD of the symphony), thinking about Ellen being alone. The night we went to that concert was the night Chance died. We found out about the accident on the way to Ft Worth and then as soon as the concert was over found out that he died. So the whole concert we were praying for him so I really have this connection between the music and Chance. Anyway I am glad I can play the music without crying now. =) And Ellen's hitched so I can smile extra big. =)

Emily said the mustard was too "picy" for her on her bratwurst. =) I keep thinking of cute words to blog and then I sit down and POOF! Oh well... Bananas are bennas. Well it's kind of like bannas, but more like bennas. =)

Em's Present

When Harp went to get the new sump pump at Atwoods last night, he saw a blueberry bush and had to get it for Emily. =) She was soooooo excited about her present! We really like blueberries in our oatmeal and she is so excited to pick our own. =) She talked about it a bunch today, too. I was reminded of this looking at the pancakes pics - you can see the plant on the counter by the canisters. =)

Ahhh

So, I THINK we are healthy. Well, by "we" I mean the girls and me. Harp is still sick, but recovering.

We went to the Carter's outlet this morning because we had some gift card things (thanks to Harp's mom!). I was also able to get a price adjustment on a couple of things and ended up being able to get a lot of cute stuff! The outfit Em's wearing today (the pancake pics and gardening pics) are from this trip. =) Oh and this Carter's (yeah this is just for Harp's mom) had the white polos with the fruit embroidered on them in the right sizes! I got them for the girls and red shorts like the denim ones in the pics. =)

Then we came home and while Lainey napped, Em and I went out and I mixed the bags of compost. Eew, it was messy. Emily freaked out about getting compost on her shoe. lol! She is such girl. The other day, she totally ran screaming from a bug. =) =) =) But then again she asked earlier if I would find another snake so she could look at it. Harp found a snake and showed it to her the other day. =) And later when Harp and I mixed dirt, Em walked on it in her flip flops... =P

So then Em and I played some and then she had her nap. I cleaned for a while and then Lainey got up. She was super-cranky from a napless morning (going shopping) so she went back down and slept for a long time.

While both girls were down the second time, I worked on Ashley's quilt. I have the top mostly pieced. All the rows are done, anyway. Need to iron and put them together and then put a couple borders around them to finish the top. =)

Then Emmy got up and we made pancakes (see previous post for cute pics). When Lainey got up, we went to see the Wisners. We haven't seen them in a month! It was quick - like 15 min probably - because Harp was coming home from work. Nancy has a cold so we kinda stayed away. =P Nooo more, thanks! But it was good to see them all! Well, most of them. Still need to see Nellie. It has been even longer since we've been Nellie because she was on a missions trip in Uruguay before we got sick. She brought me two cans of soup on Saturday with "Get Well Soon!" written on them, but Harp answered the door and I guess I was asleep. I didn't get to see her, anyway. =(

Then we came home and mixed the rest of the dirt and got it in the beds (see pics in earlier post). Em had fun helping us. Lainey freaked out because she had a bad diaper and she has diaper rash (I don't know what this diarrhea is all about!) and it didn't occur to me to check her diaper because she had just gotten a new one... So my poor girl cried a bunch while we were mixing dirt and it wasn't just boredom. =( Poor thing.

Then chicken caesar salad for dinner. Em liked it! I think it's cute how she likes romaine, but she doesn't call anything but spinach "yummy leafs."

Welllll I guess I'm gonna get ready for bed. Night!

Yaina

Look at the cute teeth! =) Hey I just remembered Lorna had this dress in white. Does it fit Margo right now? We need to get these babies together, girl! BTW, my phone lost the signal so far out of Wichita! I guess you figured that. =) Sorry!

Making Pancakes

Emily Claire, my funny girl, likes pancakes. So much so that she asked to make pancakes together when she got up from her nap. =) Why not? While we made them, I made a bowl of pancake mix. Every once in a while, I make baggies of the dry stuff. A half-recipe per bag. But Harper pointed out the other day (when we were out of baggies) that we are probably the only people we know that don't buy pancake mix. Not that he thinks that's a bad thing. I think he's proud of it, actually, lol. But so I thought I'd just make a big bag of pancake mix and figure out how much to measure out of it per recipe. So that's what I did. And Emily had a blast making (and eating many) pancakes.

Gardening

We mixed the dirt today. It wasn't a good day to do it - it was way too windy. But every other day this week it's supposed to rain and rain hard. It is a whole lot harder than it sounds to mix 5 bags of compost, 2 bags of vermiculite, and a big thing of peat moss. I mentioned this to Harper and he said "Uh, that's cause you've never done yard work. This is SO easy in comparison..." Okay, he's right.

Rabbit trail: He was very surprised when we got married to learn that I had never mowed. My mom mowed every other day. It was exercise. And I'm allergic to grasses anyway so that's probably why I never had to do it. I dunno! I also have no idea how to empty the dust/dirt from the vacuum cleaner. =P

Yesterday Pics

Lainey munchin' on her apple piece.

My busy chef. Probably making cookies. =)

Lainey likes to play kitchen, too. =)

Allee Cerise, Apples, & Stuff

Check out my mom's glass! Her jewelry and art glass is at alleecerise.com. My dad did the website. Cool, huh? =)

Em and I have apples pretty often as a snack. The other day I gave Lainey a wedge to suck on and she actually ate some of it. She just sort of scrapes apple off with her bottom teeth, so she doesn't get chunks. Anyway now Lainey thinks she needs an apple any time we have one and she gets very upset if it's not lookin' like she's getting apple. =P

Harp just called me weird and deranged for only putting one space after a period. Do you put two spaces after a period?

Today we played kitchen (play food), rearranged stuff in cupboards in the real kitchen (so one cupboard is full of stuff Em can always play with), cleaned the bathrooms together, mopped (wopped) the kitchen together, colored, played with a huge bag of buttons, made sidewalk chalk and funky kazoos... Dunno what else.

Emily words:
posca-ca-coe = popsicle
wop = mop
troiya = stroller

Happy Pump

My hero of a man already got a new sump pump and something or other he needed at Lowe's and pumped all the water out and he's done. What a stud. =)

Sump Pump

It didn't go off all day. It had rained long and hard. I didn't know it wasn't supposed to do that. =(

The hole was almost full when H got home. He's fixing it right now. There was a pen in the pump! Sounds broken... He is running to Atwoods to get a new one... The screws are rusted into powder and I guess it's bad anyway. And if we wait until we can't get one, then we're gonna be up bailing all night... It filled up half way in not long at all after Harp bailed it out. =(

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday, Laurin!! =)

Something Cute

I am sick of sad posts.

Emily has been calling me the cutest things. =) Last night she called me "sweetie cutie Momma." When I was sick last week and Harp made dinner, she came and told me "Dinner's ready, hon." And she called me her "Momma Girbs." Oh and she called me her "Momma Schmunky," too! =)

Another Sick, Sad Day

Lainey's temp is 102 again. Last night she didn't have a fever. In fact, I don't remember if she had one at all yesterday. Anyway, she isn't cranky or anything so far today so that's good.

Harper went to work. I called and he said he doesn't think it's the flu because he feels better and thinks he'll be fine by this afternoon.

I woke up with lots of mucous again and a cough. Em coughed a bunch this morning too and Lainey had a runny nose.

Today it is raining. And raining all over the bags of vermiculite and peat moss and 5 different kinds of compost that are out in our yard. We kept trying to get the gardens ready but we kept getting sick or having to comfort a sick kid. =( The sump pump hasn't turned off for the last 10 minutes. It's loud! I don't know what we're going to do today. I wish I could just sleep all day. Anyone have any ideas? I'd set up to take pictures but I am just so tired. And Lainey's nose is red because she crawled off the bed a couple days ago. =(

She is crawling, by the way. Not like a pro yet, but she's figured out what to do with her legs. She still has a hard time coordinating her arms and her legs. But she can army crawl if she's in a hurry. =)

3.19.2007

AAAGH!

I have been tempted on a couple occasions today to just scream as loud as I possibly can.

Lainey has an ear infection. Took her to the doc, got antibiotics... Harper has the flu. Got him Sudafed, went back and got him a roast (that's all that sounds good)... I think I can handle that.

But now I feel like throwing up. I do not want to get sick again. No no no no no no no no no no getting sick. =( I'm going to bed. I'm going to cry. =(

3.18.2007

=( Pray for LJ

A few hours ago I thought Lainey felt warm again. Uh huh - 101.1. Well then we went to Walmart and came home and now it's 101.8. So she had some more meds. My poor little chick. =( =( She's grumpy, grumpy again.

Whew

We were up quite a bit last night. At 3, Laina's temp was 102.2, so we gave her more Tylenol. When she woke up at 7, her fever was gone. So glad! She is much happier. She's still probably contagious so we're staying home from church. We'll work on the garden because we didn't get to do it yesterday. Yesterday we pretty much hung out in the living room all day taking turns comforting Lainey so she could sleep. I pieced all the little squares for Ashley's quilt and Em even helped for the first maybe 6 squares. =) Okay Lainey is being grumpy and Em wants to "do D" so I'm gonna post. Later!

3.17.2007

Sick, Sick, Sick

No I know you won't believe this... Lainey is sick again. Yesterday, her temp was 101.something and we've been giving her meds and she's still feelin' yucky. She felt better a little bit ago but then started to feel warm again. And she's tooting and you can tell she really needs to toot more. =( Oh, my poor girl!!!

Other Pictures

Em's First Drastic Haircut =)

Before... So long! I liked it long, but her hair was really uneven because of when she pulled a bunch out last April. Her hand was sticky because I gave her a sucker in the car...

After! Very cute! But still in her eyes. =P

Em sipping her "red coffee." I gave her some berry tea because I was having lots yesterday. She wanted more today, too. =) She asks for tea, but then calls it her red coffee.

Pretty hair...

I love that look.

This picture was an accident but you can see how short it is in the back!

Some Pretty Laina Pictures

Two of these are Laina's first sumo and Laina's first hair clip. =)

Colorado Pictures

Harp and the girls. My mom got them matching swimsuits. So cute! =) Thanks, Mom!! Lainey loved swimming this time. Maybe a little of it was because she was tired. She is one giggly girl when she is sleepy. We dunked her a bunch of times and she did such a good job!! Em always inhaled the water, but now I know I did it wrong when she was a baby. ;) Oh well, she'll learn someday, right? Maybe when she sees that Laina can do it. Em hates water in her face.

Uncle Quin and Lainey Joy. Quin came up Sun afternoon and stayed the night. He just got back Thursday from Europe. He had been traveling with my sister. She's still there, in Greece last I heard.

Harp's parents have this bowl of fake veggies at the condo. Em picked this eggplant up and said it looked like where the caterpillar ate it in The Very Hungry Caterpillar. =) Cuteness! The caterpillar ate some plums and it looks like the plums. =)

Laina and Daddy playing.

Laina playing with Emmy's skis. There are lots of pictures of her toppled over, but she was doing a pretty good job sitting!
