We had the best brunch at the Broadmoor. Oooooh, that place is good. I didn't dare ask how much it cost. There was an entire banquet hall full of gourmet food. Everything was SO good. There was a guy playing piano and this place was FANCY. Not like the Summit Club that only claims to be fancy. =P This was elegant fancy, gorgeous, beautiful... We had a good time with Mark and Sandy. Sandy is my dad's cousin. And Nana was there, too. So that was fun.
Then we came home and let Em take a nap. She was SO exhausted. I have never seen her get this tired. She was so zoned out at the end of brunch and couldn't keep her eyes open. Poor little girl! So she had a nap and then we went to see my grandma for a little bit. I put some pictures up of Em with Nana and Grandma today.
Em's taking another nap now and we're going to have some pizza and then go to the City Park rides when she gets up. It's kind of like a county fair sort of carnival thing that's at the city park all summer. We used to go when we were little and our parents used to go when they were little... It'll be Em's first carousel and ferris wheel. Fun! =) Guess that's all our news for now...

God Is SO Good
I feel so refreshed!! I am so thankful for everything God's doing in our lives. Thank you to everyone that's been praying for me! =)
We are down in Pueblo now, at my Nana's house. This is where my parents live now so we are staying with them for a week. We came down Friday night and yesterday, we went to a class on digitizing embroidery designs (making your own on the computer and stuff). That was really cool. Poor Emily was up SO long for that, but she was really sweet. She fell fast asleep as soon as we got in the car to leave and it was hard to wake her up to feed her.
Today we were going to find a church here to go to, but my parents made plans with a distant cousin to have lunch at the Broadmoor in Springs. So we're going up there in a few minutes. I don't think I've ever been there. It's really froofy and expensive and it's supposed to have really good food. Sounds fun. =)
Emily can sit up by herself much better now. I think she may have signed for milk this morning, but I'm not 100% sure. She's handling all this moving around very well.
My mom has calendars from my first and second years of life and she wrote something almost every day. The day before I was 7 months old, I stood by myself. Today is the day before Em is 7 months old and she still hasn't pulled up on anything other than me. =) And I was waving by now, too. Maybe she'll do that stuff soon. Today she was sucking on my mom's necklace and then giving it to my mom to suck. Her first time sharing.. How cute. =P
Hannah!! I still haven't mailed the sheets! And your shirt is up in Greeley so I either have to mail them separately or wait to mail the shirt. I guess I should just send the sheets now so you can use them. I'll do that.
Melissa!! How was your trip? How's Paul? Is he in Texas now or still in Springs? Can't wait for you to move up here!!
Okay, better get ready to go! I love you all!

A Real Post
I am trying to think of something to say that's not complaining or negative. Isn't that sad? I'm going to heaven and I even have the Holy Spirit now but I'm sitting here bummed. God, fix me.
Everyone keeps telling me what I can do to make money (like starting a home business) and how I should go back to work (teaching/tutoring) and stuff. I just want to be a mom and homeschool my kids. That's what Harp wants, too. I just wish we didn't have to deal with other people.
I don't want to be here anymore. I don't even think I want to be at the condo. I just want to be home and nothing is home right now. I miss singing Em stupid songs and dancing like a nutcase around my living room just to make her laugh. I even miss doing my own dishes and doing them by hand. I miss cooking and I miss my Roomba. Mostly, I miss our friends and church. And I don't want to be here.
Having allergies doesn't make me enjoy this any more. I had just gotten past my allergy season in Texas. I have used so many Kleenex that my nose is red and dry. I have been taking a double dose of Zyrtec, pseudoephedrine (which I'm not taking anymore because I found out it dries up your milk supply), and some nose spray thing. Not Afrin, something that begins with an N. I don't like it because it smells just like flowers and I'm allergic to flowers.
So I'm here with bad allergies, on lots of meds, and at high altitude. I am absolutely exhausted. I took two naps yesterday and went to bed before 8. I got up at 6:30 this morning and was still tired. I took a nap today for an hour and a half, I think. Maybe more. And I've been tired all day anyway. I hope I'm pregnant so this is worth it... Guess I'm gonna go to bed. Encourage me, please.

Fabric
I kept thinking about how I said Lorna was an old-fashioned cotton print kinda girl and Em was light purple satin. I have been asked what kind of __________ (fill in the blank) I would be many times, but it never made a bit of sense. Like what kind of muffin would you be? Or what kind of cheesecake? Those are stupid questions. Now, fabric makes sense. So I asked Harper what kind of fabric I would be. He said purpley-pink silk with lace and holes cut in it. I think he just labeled me a hoochie-momma. That or a fancy tablecloth.
What kind of fabric would you be?
What kind of fabric would you be?

We're Here!!
Ahh, finally here! So, for those of you who don't know, we moved out of our apartment Sunday after church. Harp got back from competition Friday around 7pm and we went and got boxes and groceries. Saturday we picked up the truck and Ben came by and we loaded a couple of things. We spent that evening at the Bourciers' with a bunch of friends. Wish the whole church could have been there... =) Then Sunday morning, we went to church. A bunch of people prayed for us and they had a reception with yummy cake. =) We're going to miss Crossroads SO MUCH. We went home and ate and then at least 11 people came to help us move. I don't know if I counted everyone. =) It was such a blessing! I think Ben was the one in charge of getting things to fit. We crammed almost everything into a 14' truck and our 4Runner. We had to leave our bikes with the Bourciers and the vacuum cleaner, but there was hardly any air in that Uhaul (or the car)!!
We spent Sunday night at the Woodys' house and left around 8 Monday morning. About 2 minutes down the road, we changed lanes into another car and smooshed it. Nobody was hurt, but we spent a good while with the police and noticed that one of the tires on the trailer (pulling our car) was pretty flat. So we took it to the Uhaul place and they inflated it and then stripped a lug nut. So they had us exchange trailers, which meant getting lots of stuff out of the front seat. =) So anyway the guy freaked out when he went to take the trailer off - the ball hadn't been tightened down. Good thing the trailer didn't fly off when we hit that car. So we ended up leaving Longview around noon. We spent the night in Perry, Oklahoma and drove the rest of the way yesterday.
Em is exhausted. She didn't nap very well on the trip, but she was really sweet most of the time. She was pretty bored and talked a whole lot. =P We didn't have a CD player or tape player, so I read The New Tolerance (Josh McDowell) out loud and most of Judges. We have 3 chapters left of Judges.
So, I guess that's about it. We're moving stuff to a storage locker today and some stuff into Harp's old bedroom. I have taken two naps already today and I think I need 3 more. =)
Janet, thank you for the notes! =) I don't know if there are more because we haven't unpacked much yet, but we found two of them. We miss you!!
I'm going to go get my girl up for some lunch and snuggles and then maybe nap myself while she plays with Grandma. =)

So Excited!!
Harper is coming home!! I am so excited. He called me on Philip's cell phone from Mississippi a little bit ago. I can't wait to see him.
Hannah, if you read this, call me. I don't have either of your numbers because they are on the computer that Harper has with him. And I don't have a phone number to call them and stuff, so call me. If I can't get it done today, I can tomorrow.
Well Emmy had her first good nap in like a week. I think it's because I didn't give her her medicine. I told Harp I didn't like that it has aspartame in it and he said to stop giving it to her. So I did. And she's normal again. Good thing she didn't need it anyway... It was for her runny nose.
Em is thoroughly enjoying her hot pink satin sheets right now. =) I'm going to fill up the boxes I have left and then head out to get more boxes. LifeWay saved me theirs today, so I don't have to search. =)

Nothing and Linux
Since I posted that (it was like 40 minutes ago, really) I have been reading blogs. Not packing. Uggh. And I haven't cleared off the bed and now I'm just going to go to sleep in the one corner that isn't full of stuff because that's easier than moving it.
And I thought Linux was so great because it didn't give you stupid errors and stuff, but Firefox just went nuts and quit on me and then it wouldn't let me open it again and I had to restart the computer. But it didn't want to do that, either, and I had to push the button. Why do we have Linux again? The penguin is cute. Where's the penguin?

Can't Think of a Title
I ended up distracted (from writing this post after my comment) with a phone call from Harp and some packing. The drawback to packing with old, free newspapers is you end up reading them. The Houston Chronicle is SO big. I have a bunch of Sunday Chronicles that Melissa got me from the library. You could seriously spend all week reading the Sunday paper. I have wasted precious time reading wedding announcements and obituaries and whatever other random stuff happens to be on the page. Looking at the million dollar houses in Houston... Well I probably only got 5 boxes packed today. I was bad. I slept until 8:30. I played with Em. I made her some flannel sheets for her Pack N Play because the ones you buy at the store are scratchy and stinky and cost $9 apiece. She got flannel ones for $2.57 plus tax. And I got satin to make her satin sheets. =P That was only $2 plus tax. She may be the only baby in the world with hot pink satin sheets. I saw some cotton prints that I thought looked like Lorna, so I got two of them and I'm going to make her some sheets, too. =) They're sweet and old-fashioned looking, I think. That's how I think of Lorna. I don't think Emily's unsweet - she's just different. She's more wild. Like hot pink satin, lol. No, maybe not hot pink satin... Like light purple satin, which I got, too. Hot pink's a little crazy, but I thought it was fun. Anyway Harper's coming home tomorrow and I am SO glad! I can't wait to see him. I hope I get the rest of this stuff packed tomorrow. Maybe I should stay up and do it. I don't know. It's such a mess. Oh yeah so today I also took Em to the pool for 2 hours. The Almeters and Alexanders went and there were 2 other families I met there. And then we ran around looking for boxes at ABC Auto, KMart, LifeWay, and Walmart. At LifeWay, I ran into one of my old students, Andrew Eaker. I didn't even recognize him because he's 3 years older and he used to have long hair. Now it's really short. We talked for 10 or 15 minutes, until the store closed. It's fun to hear what old students are doing. He's majoring in recreation management. And I found out that Austin (you may have prayed for him before) is going to college! So I'm really excited because he's really smart and I didn't think he would go. So anyway... Right now, there's not room for me to sleep in our bed. I guess I should go pack some more. =) See ya!

Packin', Packin'
Guess what I've been doing?
Hey! Isn't that funny... Why do people always put a question mark after guess _____? Like "Guess who?" It's not a question. Isn't it a command? Hmmmmmm... Any English majors reading this that can 'splain? I guess maybe it is a question because it's expecting a response. Ahh...
Well anyway I have been packin', packin' like crazy. I had a good break today, though. I met Melissa for lunch at Tyler Street Bistro. It was so yummy! She's headed to Colorado tomorrow to meet her hubby-to-be. He's been in Iraq for a long, long time. Thank you, Paul!! I am excited for them to get married. They'll live in Springs (Colorado Springs, that is), so I'll get to see Melissa! Assuming we don't move before they get there.
I decided to take a break from packing again to go see the Bourciers. They fed me a super-yummy dinner and dessert was peaches and whipped cream. SO good!
Em didn't sleep much today, so I came home pretty early to put her to bed. My poor girl. I think she is upset because she hasn't seen her Papa in a while and things are so different. She hasn't seen Lorna in a while, either. It's sad. =(
Harp is out at competition. I only talked to him a little bit today. They have been pretty busy out there. He can check email, though, and we can IM if we're both around.
Gonna get to bed!

Alone
Well my hubby left for competition today and my parents headed home, too. I've been packing a bunch and getting things ready to go! I had a fun day with my parents and Em. We had a good time when they were here. My dad ended up playing Worms 3D a whole lot. I hope he wasn't bored to death. I feel like I'm just not very entertaining... Like I'm a bad hostess. I didn't cook once because I never planned ahead. And Harp only had one meal with us, I think. I spent yesterday afternoon making cookies for the Phoenix team (and the morning at church - my parents stayed here with Em because she was sick). I made peanut butter Heath cookies and Andes mint cookies. They were good. Hope everyone liked them. Well I'm keeping Em up and it's way late for her. I'll post more tomorrow. =)

Another Zoo Trip With No Hubby
My parents and Em and I went to the zoo today. My dad took tons of pictures. He's a great photographer. Emily slept for like 20 minutes from 10 until almost 5. Crazy girl. I miss my hubby SO much. I'm so glad this is almost over. He has been working on the Phoenix a whole, whole lot lately. Once he gets back from competition, he has to write a report and then school is really over. I hope he never wants to go to grad school!
Sick Hubby
My hubby is sick now, too. =( He felt yucky yesterday and he's pretty bad today. Wish he didn't have to be out flying helicopters... My dad saw the pictures Hannah took when we went to the zoo last week and he wants to go, too. So we are going to the zoo today unless it's going to rain. I haven't even looked outside. My baby girl is still sick and I feel bad that I'm going to keep her from sleeping for so long. I want her to get well. But my parents are leaving in 2 days and this zoo (Caldwell) is really neat.
Tonight we are going to have dinner with the Bourciers. Don't know where yet, but it will be fun. Too bad we won't see Lauren again for a while.
Tomorrow I'm going to make cookies for the Phoenix team to take on their trip. Maybe my mom will want to help. I already packed my Kitchen Aid's cookie dough hook, I think. I better go dig through a box.

Fleas!! And Stuff...
Last night I counted my bug bites and they numbered 45. Today I have MORE and I found out why! We were at the Crowes' (my parents and I were) and fleas were running around their carpet. I know it's dumb that I don't know what a flea looks like.. A couple days ago when I was there scrapbooking, I found 2 of them on Emily, but I just picked them off and threw them. So anyway today my mom saw them and told me they were fleas and they started coming out of the carpet and crawling up my parents' dogs. Ick. They had to have flea baths and I called Bruce in Canada and he said to call a flea killer guy, so I did and we're trying for Monday... But anyway I think 95% of my bites are from fleas.
So, you might have figured out that my parents got here okay. We've been having fun just hanging out and playing lots of Worms 3D. We ate at Barron's, which was yummy. And tomorrow we are going to the zoo and then meeting the Bourciers for dinner.
I talked to Hannah and she is safely in Georgia. And I talked to Clint yesterday for a couple of seconds and he's in Virginia okay. Lorna's enjoying her Johnny Jump-up.
Harp has been working on the Phoenix Project a whole, whole lot. They have a webcam in there now that's pretty entertaining... I can see him whenever I want. =) They have the audio turned off, though. I don't remember the site or I'd give you the link... And I'm too tired to care right now anyway. I guess that's all! =)

Sick Kiddo
=( =( =( My baby girl is sick! I can't believe it! Just last week Dr. Chaikin was saying how super healthy she is because I breastfeed and she isn't in day care. Well, I don't know for sure that this is why she got sick, but it seems likely because it's gross. Two days ago, we ate at Red Lobster. We put Em in a high chair and the first thing she did was lean over and suck on the table. Gross!!! We pulled her chair back and she tried to suck the corner of the high chair. Even more gross!! We finally had to take turns holding her to keep her from sucking nasties off of stuff. That night, she woke up coughing a few times and yesterday she coughed some. And last night she coughed quite a bit and this morning she had a runny, stuffy nose. She is so tough, though. She hasn't cried even a little. But this morning, Harp was rubbing her back and if he'd stop, she'd wiggle. She liked the Daddy back rub. =) Pray for my little chiquita to get better.
Nonny had a good surgery. They didn't do everything they wanted or didn't do it how they wanted or something like that, but she's supposed to be fine. I actually have heard all this from Harp, who heard it from his mom... I'm pretty far down on the chain, but I think everything's good.
I think the plan is to move to CO now. Still don't really know. But we remembered that we have some money in stocks that we can unstockify and we can go a long time without work. Harp may actually work for his brother for free because his brother just got kinda ripped off on a construction job (he's a contractor or something constructiony like that).
My parents are coming today! I have a lot to do to make this house accessible... There are 2 strollers blocking the door and a baby swing and infant seat and car seat and lots of boxes. Maybe I'll just cram stuff into the Woodys' apartment for a bit. =)
Oh, and it's Hannah's birthday!! Happy Birthday, Hannah! Tell Hannah Happy Birthday.

Mooshy Plans, Crawler, Annabelle, Figs, Woodys, Nonny, and Scrapbookin'
Yesterday, Harp talked to his mom on the phone. She said Donna (one of Stewart's midwives) talked to her brother at Lockheed and he said they are downsizing and it's a pain to apply there because you can't talk to anybody. He's some big engineer there and he's applying for another position internally and he can't even talk to anyone. And he said you pretty much need a 3.8+ GPA to get hired right out of school. That ain't us.
So Harp's considering living somewhere other than CO or TX. He's going to start applying all over the US as soon as we figure out what phone number we're going to use. We probably need to get a cell phone because even if we go to CO, we can't go to the condo until Aug 9. Yeah, that's new info too... Harp's parents forgot that they told some people they could use the condo.
Our plans at this point are not at all firm. Which is okay. We may move to the condo or we may get an apartment here or we may put all our stuff in storage and live with someone here... We don't know.
Ohhh and Emily is CRAWLing!! It is SO cute! She's still a novice, but she's getting really good. She's coordinating her legs and everything and not just hopping.
And we saw Annabelle Leigh, Dave and Dana's new cutie, last night. She is so light! I know Em was never that light, but I can't believe Em only weighed 2 pounds more than that. That's still light... And then we picked figs at their neighbor's house. I had never had a fig, other than in a Fig Newton. They are really good!
Then we went to the Woodys' and talked and prayed for a while. It is going to be sad if we move while they are gone. They left this morning for a funeral (Clint's cousin died in a motorcycle accident) and they are going to Georgia after that and then Clint is driving all night to Virginia because he's supposed to start his internship tomorrow morning.
And Nonny (Harp's mom's mom) is having back surgery today, so pray for her. Pray for her recovery and everything, too, if you read this later.
Today I'm going to do laundry at the Crowes' and Sarah Chapin is going to come with me and we're going to scrapbook. Fun stuff! =)

Fun stuff! =)

SWI Guy, Copters, Packing, and Jeans
Well, yesterday there was a guest speaker at church from Strategic World Impact. He was telling stories and I didn't really get his point and it was aggravating me. Half way through, I got buzzed out of the sanctuary (yep, our church has beepers now) because Em wasn't falling asleep and there were tons of babies in the baby room. So I went back there and I talked to Hannah about what the guy was saying and I still didn't really get it or feel satisfied about it so I talked to Harp when the message was over and he had me talk to Bo. I did and then I talked to Harp more and then he wanted me to talk to the guest speaker guy. So we ended up staying there talking to him for a long time after church. It was really cool and I think I missed most of his point because he wasn't really there yet when I left to get Em. I need to get the tape... Anyway it was about his missions organization (kind of) and he was talking about people he knows in this country in Africa and most of them are in prison right now and one guy was separated from his wife and two daughters for a long time because they had to flee separately once. And I guess I pretty much don't know what he was saying other than that people are suffering and in America we don't even think about it. I know that's not all there was to his message, so I better listen to the tape. =)
Anyway Harp is out trying to fly the helicopter. Em and I went to watch for a while, but they kept having problems. We came back because it's hot and humid out and Em was getting tired.
I have packed a bunch today. And moved things around. It's nice to be able to see the progress. I should keep working on it.
Oh, today I finally fit into my size 2 jeans!! I fit into some size 2 jeans a long time ago, but they were a little stretchy. Today I fit into real size 2 jeans that I wore before I was pregnant. I still have some belly pooch, but I'm not motivated enough to work out. I need Hannah to make me. =)

Fun, Fun Day
Oooooh! I'm so happy. Hannah and I just took the girls to the zoo. Emily fed a giraffe. She was quite unaware of the fact that she was feeding a giraffe - she was trying to eat the leaf herself. But the giraffe took it anyway and sucked her hand in with it. It was pretty cute. And she got to pet goats and she was thrilled about that. She squealed and squawked and beamed. It was great. I love to see her have fun. I'll post pictures in a bit. Going to start on dinner.

Sad, Sad Night
We spent the night with the Bourciers tonight. It's been a week since Chance died. It feels long and short all at the same time. They got the police report and what happened is pretty different than what we all thought. A flatbed truck was coming the other direction and a cooler fell off of it, in front of Chance. He went to the right, into the ditch, and overcorrected and went back across his lane of traffic and into oncoming traffic. He overcorrected again and was hit on the driver's side by a car going the same direction as the truck. We also found out that the guy driving the truck was Chance's mom's live-in boyfriend. How horrible is that? He didn't even stay after the accident. He's an alcoholic and it's assumed that that's why he didn't stick around. Either way, that's just so sickening to me. I know he didn't do it on purpose, but isn't it awful? I have been crying extra. =(
But I have something good to write about, too. Janet was playing with Em while I was making dinner and Em went from all fours to sitting on the floor! I have never seen her sit on her own and I can't believe she got to a sitting position from all fours. She's growing so quickly. I have to start disciplining this little girl before the roots grow deep... She tries to roll when I change her diaper and grab my glasses and get anything she sees into her little hands. Oh, Lord, give me grace!

Miss Him
I miss my hubby. He is gone at the lab. He hasn't worked at night for a long, long time. Probably over 2 weeks. And he worked last night until 1 and he's working late tonight. I should be cleaning the house or sleeping, but I'm just sitting here. Harp wanted to clean the kitchen for me when he got home and I was supposed to sleep until he got back. So why am I up? I just sit here looking at the house, wondering what to pack next. Wondering what life will be like at the condo. I want to get as much time as I can with him before he has to go to work all day. I miss him...

My Afternoon
Sarah Jo, I found the program from the funeral and Chance was buried at Rosewood Park on FM 1844.
Hannah came by and said Clint didn't pass part of his flight exam that he had today. He can't do his internship without passing it, so he has to stay and try again on Monday (and hope the weather is good Monday). So that's kind of bad news for Clint, but now we get to spend another week together! I can't wait to take the girls to the zoo!!! =)
I'm cleaning and packing and Em's watching Baby Einstein, but it seems to be freaking her out more than entertaining her. Hmm...

My Morning
Last night, we stayed at the Crowes' really late doing laundry. We came home and got to sleep around 1:30 or 2:00. After I got up and fed Em, I only stayed up for 30 minutes. In that time, Emily threw up ALL of her milk. Most of it landed on me and the rest in our bed. I put her back down and I went to sleep and when I woke up at 11:30, I went in her room and she had taken her diaper off and pooped ALL over her crib. She was covered from the waist down. It was so messy that I just took her in the shower to get it rinsed off before I gave her a bath. I've gotta say, my baby is cute even when she's covered in poo.
Anyway today is our last day with Clint and Hannah. =( It's really not sinking in yet, but I know it will tomorrow. Or tonight. I don't know. It's starting to right now, but I don't want it to. I have to gather things that are Hannah's because I'm sure I have a bunch. We never took the girls to the zoo or took pictures of them in their matching outfits. What a bummer. We'll have to take pictures tonight. Em's pink dress is at the Crowes' though because we were too tired to bring stuff home last night. Lorna has the same dress in white and we thought it would be fun to take pictures of them in those dresses.
I made a yummy Cucumber Thai Salad yesterday. Those recipe cards at Walmart are really good... Maybe I'll put the recipe on here later. Dana was talking about making a recipe database or something. Maybe we'll do it and I can just link to it.
My baby girl is waking up! I'm gonna go give her some smooches.

Teach Us, O Lord
I have the song stuck in my head... Teach us, O Lord, to number our days, that we may be wise in all that we say and do. Teach us to honor You.
We went to Chance's funeral today and then out to the grave site and then to Longview Christian Church for a potluck with people from Crossroads and East TX Christian School (where Chance taught) and I think some other people. Both services were really good. The pastor at First Methodist (where Chance and Ellen went to church) said something about how people suddenly become much better than they were at their funeral, but Chance really was everything people said he was. It's true. Chance loved the Lord with all his heart and soul and mind and strength. And, thanks be to God, he still does! =) Ellen looked beautiful and seemed to be at peace. I think it's really hard to read Ellen, though. She's a tough girl. Not in a manly way - she's feminine. But she's strong.
Needless to say, Em had a rough day. She woke up at 7, got vaccinations at 9 and didn't fall asleep until about 10 minutes into the funeral (which started at 10). She slept for 10 minutes, I think. Then she didn't sleep until we drove from the cemetery to LCC and that only lasted about 10 minutes. We got home around 2 and she slept for an hour. I fed her and put her back down and I went to sleep too so I don't even know if she was asleep or awake or what until 5 and then I kept her up until 6:30 and she's been out since then. My poor girl is so messed up. I don't think I'll have her on a normal schedule again until Friday.
Tomorrow is our last day with the Woodys. =( They are leaving for Georgia on Thursday and they won't be back until after we move. They are possibly making a trip to Wyoming to see Clint's sister in August, so they might get to stop and see us on the way back. It's up to Clint's mom, though, because she'll be with them.
Thursday, Harp is going to help Ravi build a stock for his paintball gun. So I'm going to see if Sarah Chapin wants to scrapbook. I have been telling her we could scrapbook for a long time and I keep forgetting to call and make a plan.
So maybe after all that, Em and I will have a normal day.
I need to go finish dinner and see if my hubby can come home and eat it. =) That's all. =)

Maybe I Should
Maybe I should just stay up and post what I'm thinking. I don't want to make it too short just because I'm tired, but I need to post it or I probably won't get to sleep quickly.
As sad as I am for Ellen, I am so glad Chance was saved. I can't imagine losing someone close to me that isn't saved. Death is inevitable. Eternity is real. And I know lots of people that don't know God.
I know only God knows the hearts of these people and I hope some of them have known him. I don't understand how someone with the Spirit can end up blatantly denying Christ, but I do know that we can quench the Spirit to the point where we don't hear God. I do hope they are saved.
That's not the point of life, though, to just get saved and then live however you want... It's about a relationship with Jesus - knowing him, serving him, loving him. Nothing can make you happier. It's what we were made for.
If you don't know him or don't have an active relationship with him, please, please, please think about eternity. Seek him. He wants to be found.

Stuff
Well, I haven't posted in a while. We have been pretty busy packing (although we don't have much to show for it - how does that work?) and spending time with friends. We played sand volleyball with the Woodys the other night. I pretty much screamed and ran from the ball every time it came anywhere near me. How is it that I used to be a tomboy? Maybe I just wanted to be one - I don't remember. Em turned 1/2 yesterday! We went to Ft. Worth for the symphony's performance of Dear Friends, a bunch of music from Final Fantasy. Not the typical symphony-going crowd, but fun people to watch for sure. It was a great performance of really neat music. I think that composer would be super incredibly famous if his music wasn't in video games. Well, I guess he IS famous, but with a different group of people. On the way to the symphony, Hannah called and told us Chance Pate had been in a car accident and asked us to pray for him. We talked to Tracy and she said he had a lot of internal bleeding and they didn't know where it was coming from and that they removed his spleen. He died last night, leaving behind a bride of almost two years, Ellen. We found out as soon as the symphony ended. We have shed many, many tears. We are excited for Chance, but grieve for Ellen and both of their families. We spent a while out at the Bourciers' today (Ellen is their daughter, if you don't know them). I can't imagine being widowed at all, but especially not at 21. I love Harper so much and I just can't imagine what Ellen is going through. Chance and Ellen were so sweet together. We made the video of their wedding two years ago. Theirs was the first wedding we had been to where the kiss really was the first kiss. It was so romantic and so sweet and their marriage was so blessed because of it. We have been glad to see many people choose to wait since then, but their wedding was probably my favorite and their courtship the kind that I would like our children to have someday. I just want to hug Ellen for a long, long time. I'm going to read Harp's post and get to bed. I have lots more to write, but it'll have to wait for now...
