Kansas

Well, the movers came and packed our stuff. =) That was nice! We drove here last week, Saturday and Sunday. It was nice to stop for the night, too. We are staying in an apartment attached to the house of some members of our church. Most of our stuff is in storage, so all we have here is pretty much the bare minimum. And my sewing machine. =) We are sleeping on air beds on the floor, we have one plate each, one bowl each, one cup each, etc. The movers will deliver our stuff to our house from storage, and unpack, so we didn't want to have too much dropped off here. We are kind of tired of moving. =) We are responsible for everything here.

We still haven't heard back about the house we made an offer on, so we went looking again today. We found a couple of houses that we like. One Harper even likes better than the one we made an offer on. It needs some work, but it is really cool. I'm going to guess that most people would just think it's weird and not like it. =P It has character. =) We might make an offer on it, but we haven't really decided.

Anyway our first week here, we went on a field trip with the Blanchettes and the Bradshaws and some other people I didn't know. =) And we spent a lot of time with the Wisners. We have missed them!! We are going to their house tomorrow after church, too. I miss holidays at Grammie's. =)

I've been working on Bekah's baby quilt. I think it is going to be really cute. =)

I love how Bekah says "sanks!" for "thanks" all the time. =) The other day she fell down and hurt her head and said "I fell and cracked my head open and it tried to pop my head off." One day she wanted me to uppie-a her and I said I couldn't because I was peeling a cutie. She said "You are uppie-a-ing the cutie!!" I think it's funny how uppie-a has become an everyday verb. She says "will you uppie-a me?"

I have a list somewhere of other cute stuff.... =P I have to help get kids in bed and I kind of want to be asleep myself. =) Later!

We made an offer on a house! And it's in Derby! =) We really like this house and it is a short sale, too! =) =) =)

House Hunt

We're on day three of looking at houses and still haven't found one. =\ Bummer. I'm hoping we find one we love today. We started out looking in Wichita and today we're going to look in Derby and Haysville. There is a house I hope we like in Derby (we like the pictures!) and we are looking at two on our old street, with our old floor plan. Kinda funny. =P

The girls spent the first day and night with Harp's parents. Then my parents had them the second day and second night and most of the third day. Then they went back to Harp's parents and they're there today. We get home tonight. Yay! I miss them. It has been very weird doing all of this without kids.

I finished the 6th Anne book and started the 7th. I'll have to make sure I still have a decent charge on my phone for the plane ride home. I have been reading on my phone.

I have also been reading Little Women and I'm maybe 10 chapters into that. I like it much better than the movie so far! =)

Oh, we found a place to rent short-term, from a family that goes to our church. They didn't go there when we moved away, but now they do so all of our friends know them. =) They have an apartment attached to their house and we will stay there until we find a house. It will be nice if that's not too long, but I'm glad to know we have somewhere to stay and we don't have to worry about that.

Off to eat breakfast and look at more houses. =)
