Emily has been saying 'happy' all night. =) It is SO cute!!! We were outside waiting for Daddy to get home and it was pretty hot. We went out a little early to play but Em wanted to go in. We went in a couple of times and came back out, waiting for Harp. I called him and he was close to home, so we stayed outside by the door in the shade. Em was asking to go in and I told her I know it's hot and I really want to go in too but we should wait outside because it makes Daddy so happy to see his girls waiting for him. She said "happy!" I said "Did you just say happy??" And she said "Happy!" So we've been asking her all night if she's happy and she says "Happy!" I love it!!!! =) She is growing up SO fast.
Earlier today we were hanging up baby clothes for Lainey and Em said 'fish' as clear as could be. I turned around and she was holding a fish from the baby mobile. That's a word she has been trying to say for a while, but it usually comes out 'shi' or 'fiss.' And she said 'purse' and picked up her purse that Avery and Eric gave her. =) How fun this is!!!!

Hilarious
This morning, Harp was getting ready to go and pulled his socks apart and a third sock fell out. lol, I guess I did that 'cause I'm the only one that folds socks. =P Anyway later in the day, I was putting more laundry away and saw this big wad of socks in my drawer. I laughed so hard. Harper had taken some of mine apart and put 4 of them together when I left to get Em or something. =P He cracks me up. =)

Cool Thing...
Every week at small group, someone asks a question for everyone to answer. Sometimes it's kinda silly, sometimes really serious. Just different every week. Well last time, someone asked whose autobiography you would want to read. Like of people who haven't written one. First, I thought my dad, but then my mom too so my answer was both of my parents. Most people answered their parents or their dad. Nancy said all of us. =) Anyway we got to Pueblo and my sister wrote a 60+ page book by my dad as told to her that was basically that. I read most of it but I didn't get a copy because she left it in Greeley. So I'll have to finish another time. Anyway I thought that was really cool!
Home
Wow, what a long trip home. It was good and Em was mostly really sweet and happy.
We stopped at one huge gas station place that had a Starbucks and Quiznos and Baskin Robbins and some chicken place. They had a playground too so Harp took Em down the slides. =) She was really excited.
We were driving down the road and Em started saying something over and over and I didn't really understand it and I turned around to see if she was signing it and she was saying & signing CAKE! lol My girl is into cake. She was also saying something over and over that sounded like hice and when we stopped at the place with Baskin Robbins, she pointed to someone's ice cream and said hice!!! So maybe she was asking for ice cream too, lol. I think she had a few too many sweets this weekend, lol.
Anyway when we got maybe an hour or a half an hour from Salina, it started to rain. We had been watching the lightning for probably well over an hour already, but we just finally ran into it all. It hailed and the rain was so heavy we had to get off the highway for a while. We stopped at a gas station and Harp pulled all the way up to the door so I could get out and go to the bathroom. I got totally soaked in the 3 or 4 feet to the door. =P This was at 11:00. We sat there for over half an hour under the covered area. Em was tired and had been sleeping, but she woke up and I let her come sit with me and I got really great sleepy snuggles. =) Mmmmmmm! =) She was telling us about the water outside and I didn't understand all the rest of it, I guess about the lightning, but then I understood "Wow, cool!!" Hehe. She isn't at all scared by storms. Maybe it's just the way she was made or maybe because every time it's stormed, I've taken her to see what's going on and told her how God is so big and he can make this cool weather. I don't know. But she thought it was cool last night. =) And it was! It was like there were strobe lights in the sky. Kinda messed with your eyes, especially driving. Then there would be a super-bright flash that would even hurt for a second. It was really awesome weather. I was SO tired but I stayed awake to watch it all. Harp left a message for his boss saying we're outside Salina and going to try to sleep a little in the car because we can't go anywhere and he may be late for work depending on how things go. Well not long after that, it quieted down a bit and we headed home. By the time we got to the highway, it was pretty bad again but no hail. And it calmed down not too long after that. Around 12:40, Harp asked if I could drive because he was falling asleep, so I drove the rest of the way home and we got here I think at 1:10. What a night!
Today I have my midwife appointment and I don't know why I'm excited because it's not like I do anything but pee in a cup and listen to the heartbeat. And we just did an ultrasound yesterday and the day before. =)
I need to get stuff moved to the 4Runner because we lost our temp tag in the storm last night. Em's taking a long nap right now. I guess I'll get movin'. =)
