We drove out to Kansas last week for an interview with Cessna. Harper was offered a position in Advanced Design, and it sounds like a great fit for him. He is excited! And if for whatever reason it turns out to be not so great, his boss at McCauley called him over after his interview and said he wanted to hire him back there. So he could probably transfer back to McCauley. He is excited about the Cessna position, though, and I am excited for him. =)
We got to see lots of friends in Kansas. One of my friends even had her baby while we were there (YAY!!!) and I got to meet little baby Cyrus the day after he was born. =)
We don't really have a schedule right now - we will probably make a house hunting trip, but we don't know if Harper and I will fly out or if we will all drive out again. Gotta use our last 2 ski days. Gotta get the new website up. Gotta pack. =) Fortunately, we don't have nearly as much stuff as we did when we left Kansas. =P And I'm inclined to get rid of more, but we'll see. It makes a little more sense to wait and have a garage sale in Kansas, I think. If we can stand to pack and move it all. =P
"Whazzadat" is now also "Whazzadis?" =) Bekah calls a triangle a "squangle." She knows all her colors and is consistent with them now. =P
In Kansas, Lainey didn't remember anyone and she didn't remember the front of our house when we drove by. But when we walked into The Spice Merchant, she said "Hey, I remember this place!!" =) Haha! She did also say she remembered playing in Grammie's back yard. She was 2 (almost 3) when we left, so I'm kind of surprised she remembers anything!
We stayed with Jim and Tatum and the kids had tons of fun with Keller and Kenna and Katen. We were there for a week (Wed-Tues) and as far as I know the kids only had one problem with each other. One night, three other girls were over and Keller was only letting the "big" girls into his room because he didn't want the "little" girls to wreck it. Em was offended that she was a "little" girl and told the big girls "You're at the top of my enemy list!" Gotta be creative when you don't know bad words and your heart is spewing out meanness. =P lol She was pretty quick to change her attitude and apologize, though. I'm not sure how many families we could stay with for a week and still want to hang out with them. =P But we had a great time with the Blanchettes the whole time! =) I'm excited to be moving back.
My hubby's web site is now on page 1 in a Google search of custom bottle caps. Yeah!!! That is awesome. Free advertising. =) Might as well throw an extra link out there for Google, right? Haha! custom bottle caps =D

My Girl Is Three!
Happy Birthday to my Emmy-O! =)
I am not one to stay up for New Year's, but I spent until 2:30 this morning making Emily the prettiest ever princess dress. =) I can't wait for her to open it. Harper's mom made her a princess hat while I made the dress and it's so cute! I still have to wrap her presents. Oh we are in Colorado by the way. We are going home tomorrow, but we're in Greeley now. We got to Pueblo (where my parents live) on the 26th and came up here on Sunday. My parents came over yesterday and had dinner with us and we took Abbot pictures. My dad brought his whole studio. =P He is a really awesome photographer. Wanna see his website? =)
Today we'll go sledding at some point, have a birthday party at some point, and I guess pack stuff up. I don't know what time we're leaving tomorrow.
This morning, I heard Emmy get up at 6:30 and I called for her to come into our room and we sang her Happy Birthday. Then Emmy and I grabbed some cheese (at home, we usually have some cheese first thing in the morning to hold us over until real breakfast is ready) and got in the hot tub together. We had a fun time, just Mommy and Emmy. =)

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! We slept in the living room until 5am, when we realized the pilot light went out and it was freezing in our house. Harp tried for a long time and couldn't get it lit (it has been having issues for a while), so we ended up sleeping on the floor in the girls' room (where we have a space heater). Harp got the pilot light lit this morning and we're getting the house as warm as we can in case it goes out again. =)
Our dishwasher broke yesterday and I have tons of dishes to do by hand today. =( At this point, I don't even have room to make the dessert I'm taking to Scott and Alyssa's tonight. Eek! I guess girls will nap in a bit so I will tackle it then.
Oh lol yesterday Emily locked a door. She is not allowed to play with the locks because we don't have a key to the door to the craft room. She had locked herself in there once and got out fine, but this time she locked it and came out. It was a serious lock, not the kind you can just stick a hanger in. Harp ended up having to bash the doorknob to take it off. So we had Emily carry the mangled doorknob around for the rest of the morning so she would remember what happened and remember to obey Daddy even when it didn't make sense to her. =P I wish I had a picture. She was so cute about it. When we went over to the Wisners' she was telling them how she locked the door and Daddy had to smash it and she was carrying it so she would remember not to do it again. =)
Emily got a vacuum for Christmas and she is SO thrilled. She keeps telling me about it and vacuuming the floors. =P So cute! The girls have on every bit of girliness they got. They are wearing their Mexican twirlie skirts and play silks as capes and Lainey is wearing a tutu over her skirt, too. =P
Harp got me an iPod (hey, I'm cool now! lol) so I'm going to get him to help me figure out how to get songs on it. =) I'm so excited! Blog ya later!

Baby Dedication & Before
Our Weekend
Harp's parents came for the weekend and we had a really great time! That's why I've been doing things other than blogging. =) They got here Thursday and we had dinner and hmm I don't really remember what we did Thursday night. Friday we watched Cars in the morning. Why can't I remember what else we did? Oh when the girls went down, Terrie and I made something that I can't blog about yet. That must be the day we went to Rib Crib for lunch? I don't know. It's all kind of a blur. Weird huh? Anyway we played Hand and Foot yesterday and Harp and I got creamed by his parents. Very fun game though. We'll have to find some people to play with. Nate and Anna? Hehe I'll find out if she still reads my blog. =) Okay anyway then Saturday we went shopping. Terrie and I went alone, while the girlies slept and Harp and his dad played Zelda. Harp beat it this weekend, btw. The Wii Zelda... Anyway Terrie and I went crazy with the monkey stuff at Target. I will post pics of all the monkey stuff. =) And she got pretty white skirts for the girls and me at Old Navy and tops for the girls. I couldn't find one that fit and wasn't hookery so we got fabric and a pattern at Walmart and I made a shirt Sat night while the guys played Zelda. And Terrie hung out with me and did some work on the other project. =)
Yesterday, we did a baby dedication before the church. We have been meaning to for a while but never coordinated everything with Jeff. Last week he said how about next week? And we said great! Mom and Dad, I hope you're not hurt that you weren't there for it (well and didn't know about it). =( I guess I should have called to ask. I'm sorry!
This morning we went to Lowe's and got a slide and some wood to make a ladder for it. It's going to go off our deck. Fun, huh? Harp's parents were going to get the girls a swing set but they were all either big or junky so we decided to just do the slide. And we'll still have good reason to bike to the park. =) Harp is working on the slide right now. Okay, time for more pics. =)

My Old Hubby & Stuff
Harper turned 24 yesterday. =) My parents and his parents came up the mountain for dinner. My parents came around 2:00 and we went to Breckenridge for a while and looked around a glass shop. They all went home last night because Harp's dad was on call today and my parents are taking classes and have class today. My dad's doing welding still and my mom started a jewelry class (silver).
Not much has been going on. I sent Aduma those cookies even though I feel dumb for burning them. They really weren't bad when I ate some the next day. =) My mom brought me two bags of Andes baking chips and Harp's mom brought one of my cookie sheets. So I'll try again. I made Harp a castle-shaped orange cake. It was really good and I was glad it turned out - things just aren't the same at 9K feet!
The Supertones are playing in Greeley Sept 1, so we might go down the mountain. Sept 10, I am going some radio music market survey in Westminster for $50. I thought it sounded fun and I'm always glad to give my input. =) And the State Fair is only going to be 11 days this year, starting this Friday, so we're going to go to Pueblo for that at some point. We'll have to look at a calendar.
I want to be pregnant. Pray for me to get pregnant. =) I started talking to this lady at Walmart the other day in line who was at least 4 months pregnant (probably 5 - her baby was kicking a bunch) and her baby girl was almost 1. It was so cute. I want Em to be a sister. And I want to wear my maternity jeans. They were so cute.

3 Yummy Years
So, today is our third anniversary! Harp said it seems like forever that we've been rounding up to 3 years. He's right. I wonder if we will ever stop rounding up. Once 7 months have passed, it doesn't make sense to use the real number because you're much closer to your next anniversary. Maybe when we've been married 25 years, we won't care to round up. I think we will do it anyway.
I have been blessed to be married to an amazing man of God. He loves me like crazy and loves our baby girl so much. Most of all, he loves the Lord. I don't know how people stay married without Jesus. He is the only reason we can forgive and love each other. And He makes us better husbands and wives in the first place. I love Him. I love being married. =)
The 'yummy' part is that I struck gold (no, better than gold) with Harper - he can cook! Okay, it may sound corny and stereotypical that he made me pasta today, but he really can cook anything. He made my pasta gourmet-style with sausage and pepperoni and fresh-pressed garlic in the sauce. It was SO yummy!
Tonight we are going to Matsu for a Japanese dinner. We went to Benihana for our rehearsal dinner and to Shogun for our first anniversary. Last year, we felt like Japanese again, so we went to Matsu and started a real tradition.
We're leaving Em with Hannah tonight.. I hope she is sweet for her. She usually is, but we think we're going to go to a movie after dinner and have Hannah give Em a bottle. I don't know how that's going to go over with Emily. She gets really frustrated with bottles. Maybe a sippy cup will work...
Anyway...I love being hitched to Harp and I'm thankful for 3 great years together with my very best friend ever. I'm gonna go give him a smooch. =)
