Another Moose Card & Infinity

Emmy's moose card. The star paper is a tent for the moose to camp in. =) We couldn't find his hooves. =P

The girls and I just made moose cards together. Em's is done but Lainey's is hanging out in the craft room still. =P Laina wanted to ink her moose with red ink, hehe. It looks like it romped through a pool of blood. I'll have to take a pic of it later.

Hmm yeah and I don't think I ever mentioned that these moose cards are to send to CK while she is at camp this week. =) I read my last post and it didn't make any sense unless you already knew that, lol. The campers have to climb a ladder to kiss a moose statue every time they get mail. And besides, mooses are just cute. =)

Anyway while we were crafting, Emily asked a completely random question: "Mom? Is there a last number that you can count to?"

The other day after we went to the circus and Sakura, we were next to a Dollar Tree, so we took the girls in and told them they could each pick something because they have been such sweet girls lately. Emily told me that she was going to get her thing for me. So sweet! =P First she was going to get me a cool bubble wand, but then she decided on bubble tape (gum). Lainey had picked some truck stickers, but then she found the gum too. =) So Lainey got a bag full of gumballs. They have been sharing with each other and with us. =) And the tape gum is mine Emmy says but we are all sharing that too. =) I love these girls! (Em just read this over my shoulder and said "I love you too!" She makes me smile...) =)

CK's Moose Card

They have to kiss a moose when they get mail at camp. =) I found an image of a moose stamp and cut it out with my Silhouette. The popsicle is cut from the paper - Imaginisce's Summer Cool.

Card Class & Stuff

Hey! So my card class was tonight. I will do another a week from tonight and there are already 5 people signed up for it - yay! Tonight I had 9. Here are the cards we made:

It was fun and it was much nicer having a big group than a small one - there was something to do the whole time and I didn't have to think of things to talk about or have it just be too quiet... =P I hope I get more people signed up before next week, too. =)

Harp took the girls to VBS and he helped with sound. It was sort of disastrous last night without him there. He is really the only one that knows what he's doing with that stuff. Scott would have probably been able to figure it out but he's in Oregon. =P Anyway they had a fun time and Emily Peters took Caleb and Eden. I'm bummed that I missed them! They left a little early because Caleb wasn't all that into it (Em hasn't been either) so I don't know if they'll come back tomorrow.

This morning, we were eating breakfast and Lainey heard the trash truck come. She was so frantic about telling me that I didn't understand any of it, but I knew what it was all about. We ran to see if Harp had taken the trash out because he was running late this morning so we didn't know. If the trash man had been on the other side of the road, we would have had time to get it out. But he had already come and our trash wasn't out. It was funny that the girls were so disappointed that our trash didn't get picked up. =P

The carpet guys never came yesterday and Lowe's never called, but the guys showed up this morning and finished and fixed stuff. I actually am not 100% satisfied with how they fixed one part on the stairs but I know they just stapled scraps in anyway so I will try to staple some more in myself.

Recovery (from the carpet mess) is going slowly but it's happening. I'm not going to stress out about it. Our room and toy room are clean, but the girls' room (which was packed with everything) is still getting worked on. Slowly but surely. I'm too pregnant to do it all at once. =P

At VBS the theme tonight was helping others and the craft was this light bulb thing with the memory verse on it (I don't know what the light bulb is about, lol). The kids decorated it and Emmy drew herself and a baby and told Harp it was her helping a baby. And then she drew her and me and wrote "MOM" and told him it was her helping me. And she wrote help (spelled "HLP") on it. =P I can't believe how big she is! Today we were playing with the alphabet blocks and I made some random words for her. She read floss, crash, and buffalo. =P She used to get intimidated by big words (like more than 5 letters) but she didn't even hesitate reading buffalo. I was excited!

Em has been doing the addition flash cards, too. We have these cute little counters that I got from the education resource center. They are dinosaurs and bugs and fruit. And we use solid-colored wood blocks and popsicle sticks sometimes, just for variety. But she'll get the card, say 2 + 6, and make a pile of 2 and a pile of 6 and then count them all together and check on the back to see if she got it right. She loves to do this! Wouldn't it be cool if all of my kids are that into school? =P I'm thinkin' I'm going to have to make sure I don't compare my other kids to her because she just really loves to do school. She always asks me to do it.

Okay well that's all, I guess. Night!

Card Pics

Here you go, Dana! =) In the one, you can see how they were shimmery. It was hard to take a pic inside though because the flash was making it too shimmery... So I took them outside and then they didn't really look shimmery at all.
